2,200 Pounds of CO2 Offsets = 115 gallons of gas
The Campus Clean Energy projects not only reduce carbon emissions; they contribute to a cleaner energy future by providing educational and research opportunities to students, faculty, and staff, driving innovation at the local and national level, and setting an example for aggressive climate action. These schools recognize the imperative to take bold action against climate change, and are assuming a leadership role among higher education. C2P2 is an initiative to support leading colleges and universities in developing and marketing carbon offsets as a way to accelerate their progress towards campus carbon neutrality. All schools participating in in this program are signatories of one of Second Nature’s Climate Leadership Commitments. This means that the president or chancellor has committed the school to achieving carbon neutrality and taking bold action to address climate change.
